So I completed the 214 fells this year just one day before the 42nd anniversary of Wainwright's last fell.
AW wrote "If Starling Dodd had been the last walk of all for me ... I should now be desolate indeed".
Of course I feel the same and my goal now for the rest of his centenary year 2007 is to revisit those fells on which I was in the mist (including today's pair!)
