Today's walk (Keswick rambling club): Greystoke Forest - Berrier Hill

the start of the walk in Greystoke Forest

leaving the forest onto access land

beside Glencambon Tarn ..

.. a boggy section

Berrier Hill ahead with Great Mell Fell in the distance

looking back on our route from the slopes of Berrier Hill

arriving at the top of Berrier Hill - the site of a proposed windfarm

Carrock Fell from the limestone escarpment of Berrier Hill

looking back up the escarpment ..

.. and walking down above it

wellies probably the best choice for this rather wet walk

looking back at Berrier Hill

Souther Fell with Blencathra in cloud behind from the hill above Highbanks Wood

stormy skies ahead from the ridge of the hill

Carrock Fell from further north on the path

the return track through Greystoke Forest

the last bit of path to the Larches
