The English Marilyns

The 1551 Marilyns are the British hills which have a clear drop of 500 feet or 150m all round.
They are listed in the book The Relative Hills of Britain by Alan Dawson (Cicerone Press 1992)

This subset lists the 178 English Marilyns.
My mountain diary describes our ascent of many of the lower hills.
We completed the hills over 2000 feet and Wainwright's Lakeland Fells before the publication of the Marilyn list. However I am now slowly repeating these hills and adding them to my diary.
